Pastes, putties and gels can be contract manufactured through the same process as our butyl rubber extrusions are manufactured. Our 1,000 lt stainless steel Onslow Z-arm mixer is extremely powerful and mixes by applying enormous shear forces to difficult to blend materials to ensure the complete dispersal of all components. Pastes are manufactured by effectively blending in a small percentage of liquid into a powder or solid. Pastes are normally prepared for dangerous goods such as poisons or corrosives to reduce possible exposure from airborne dust such as lead, antimony trioxide and arsenic. Other dangerous liquid products such as hydrofluoric acid are produced as water based gels to prevent splashing on operators whilst being used during their applications. |
